Christmas

Christmas, the celebration of the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem it's one of the most beautiful times of the year for me, it would be nice that here was like in Germany or America for example, the lights filling the streets, the decoration... there it's lived more intensely but with the same enthusiasm.

The magic of Santa, the illusion of let the food to the reindeers, the solidarity, the desire to be the next morning... for all that, for me Christmas it's wonderful especially when you are child because as you are growing up you see it wonderful too but different.
Christmas it's a festivity very familiar, normally everybody meets for dinner and that same night or in the next morning everyone opens the presents, it's very excited. 

My new year's eve

New year's eve is one of my favourites nights and now is coming near.  I think that it's an important celebration because we say goodbye to the old year and say hello to the new year! Usually every year I have dinner and eat the 12 grapes with all my family in my auntie's house or in a restaurant, but this year I will celebrate new year with my best friends. We'll all have a dinner together and we'll go to a party in St.Pere. After that, normally I can spent slpeeping the 1st of January till the afternoon because I'm so tired. Sometimes we tend to go to breakfast "Churros con chocolate" before go home. I always have a really nice time, being with my family, with all of my friends in St.Pere dancing and having fun.  

Summer 2014

This summer I started to work, was the first time that I charge. I worked with my stepsister helping her in sales and rentals. I worked 8 hours daily, five days a week. It's not like all the past summers when I had all the they free to do what I want and sleep till I want, this summer was different but I like it too beacuse you feel more independent, you have your own money for buy what you want. My free time I spend it with my friends at the beach, going to parties or we sometimes take a bus and go to Cadaqués to spend the day...
we always have fun. The temporal of this summer has not been very good, the most of the days was cloudy but we made a lot of things equally.

My favourite series

My favouritre series is 'Desperate Housewives', it's an American series that unfortunately has finished.
It's a comedy- drama-mystery series. It goes about the lives of a group of women as seen through the eyes of a dead neighbor who committed suicide. I started to watching the series late and that's why I followed by the computer, also coincided with schedules that I couldn't see.

My best experience

Every child has a dream and mine was swimming with dolphins. In 2011 my parents took my sisters and me to live what was my best experience. I was very excited, first of all the managers explained to us the rules. At the beginning I was a bit scared because you see a fin coming near and you think about a shark. It was very thrilling, I was impressed by the touch of their skin that was very soft. We gave them instructions and they obeyed all, was incredible. My favourite moment was when the dolphins take you swimming while you're holding on to his fin.
 I loved it, my best experience.

Why working from home could be bad for your health?

This concept might seem ideal for work between career and personal life for example, because we can have flexible schedules or we can spend more time with the family. But it's not at all healthy, studies found that the people that work at home, works more hours. So telework may actually do little to reduce exhaustion and stress. However when you work at office you don’t see the chores and family members, so you're a little removed from the conflict and many set up separate workspaces in their homes. Managers need to help employees set limits because telecommuters who don’t know when to stop working may be at risk of burning out and becoming less productive.

Hi, my name is Katia I'm 16 years old and I live in Castelló d'Empúries with my mum and my sisters. My dad and a part of my family live in Argentina. I have two sisters Tatiana and Laura, I'm the second one.
Since I was seven I've done a lot of activities ou of school: ballet,  rhythmic gymnastics, painting...
I love traveling, the beach, listening to music, go shopping, the cinema, and being with my friends.
My favourite food is the mexican for example the "fajitas" but I hate the onion, the garlic and the raisins.
The series that I like are Desperate Housewives and Shameless. I love the animals too especially the dogs.

 When I was little I was i did rhythmic gymnastics but my back began to hurt me and I leave it. Then I try to do ballet and it liked me, so I decided to continue in a school from Girona. I do ballet 2 or 3 times a week and every 2 years we prepare a festival, it's very nice to see. Almost we do ballet exams, there are very dificult and we have to work hard to do it better.

MY WORLD Summer 2013

My last summer was my favorite one, I made a lot of things with my friends that I've never made before. The first thing I did when I finished school was traveled to Ibiza with my family and a friend. We slept one week on a boat, it was great. We visited Fomentera a lot of beautiful beaches from there and some nights we hang out.
Every day was diferent, we didn't waste our time. We went on boat to diferent beaches, we made trips, we went camping... A very nice and unforgettable summer.

Two weeks ago I was in Berlin with all my friends from school. I had a good time there, I laughed a lot with my friends, and we had many anecdotes to explain, but we walked a lot ... We visited a lot of things some of them bored and some very interesting like the bunker. Was my favourite because all the things that the guide explained to us were interesting. This bunker was created for a 3th world war, was a space vey dark, small and horrible. When I get in I had a feeling vey strange just imagine the situation of thousands of persons living there, spleeping in small beds, without enought eat... Was very shocking for me.

Talk about Mauthausen

Tuesday, two sons of catalan and republican men deported from Mauthausen came to talk about their story. It was so interesting, first of all they show us a documentary about Mauthausen, there were horrible and sad images from the people who lived there. One of them was waiting 5 years his father without knowing if he was alive or dead. They explained to us stories from people who tried to escape, how the people were treated or how they live without their fathers. What impressed me was the way they profited the cadavers, were used to make soap, tissues... It's incredible how a person could make that horrible things.

REFLECT ABOUT THE FILM

QUESTION 1. Setting.

• The first fight take place in the middle of the street and in the film it's in a gas station.
• When Tybalt kill Mercutio, in the book take place in the street and in the film on the beach.
• When Romeo and Juliet kiss each other in the book occur in the pool and in the film take place in the balcony. 
• In the movie all happened in a city in an actually period and in the book all happened in a village.

QUESTION 2. Imagery.

• Fire: represents the fight,  and dangerous moments, like the first fight in the petrol station.
• Water: represents the romatinc moments like when Romeo and Juliet meet for the first time through an aquarium or when they meet in Juliet's house then they fall in the pool and they kiss each other.
• Storm: represents the bad moments, like when Mercutio is killed by Tybalt.

QUESTION 3. Language.

Romeo and Juliet

Romeo and Juliet it's a story about love. Romeo and Juliet fall in love, but that love became imposible because their families hate each other. They fight for be together but they can't, to be together they had to make a plan. The plan goes wrong and they die together, the families decides to be in peace.

Valentine's day

My first task it's about make a cake. I make a cake related to st valentine's day.
And the second task I read about the history of Valentine's day, and it's interesting to know things about it.
For valentine's day a good present I think that it could be: chocolate, flowers... and something  more original like do a diferent activity. It's a great day for the couples, everybody must to seize the day!

I was glad when my phone started to ring. I was waiting for her call like every year for my birthday. My grandmother always makes me a surprise and every year it's different. she's so nice. that day I was impatient to know the new surprise... and when she told me that th surprise was a holidays I became so excited! I'll go to Hawaii, I didn't believe it. Going to Hawaii was my dream, I always saw pictures from there, the beaches... it is all wonderfull. One day I told her that I would like to travel  to Hawaii, and now it's the present for my birthday.

William Shakespeare

Shakespeare was born on april in the 23 of 1564 in Strartford on Avon,near London . His family was "well-off", his father (Jhon Shakespear) had had a lot of jobs like: glovemaker, shop keeper, land owner and bailiff of Stratford. His mother (Mary Arden) who inherited land which was bequeathed to William. William had 7 brothers and sisters.

He probably attended the free grammar school until 15 mainly studying Latin.He read much mythology, ovid, plutarch's lives... which he used as sources. He married with Anne Hathaway (she was 8 years older) on 27 of november in 1582. They had 3 children (Susanna, Hamnet and Judith (twins)).
William lived in London most of his life and had little to do with Stratford, although he became its third largest landowner, and eventually retired there. By 1592, he was recognized as a successful actor on the London stage as well as a leading poet. He was a member of a repertory group Chamberlain's Men.
He wrote at least 38 plays as well as sonnets and other poems. He revolutionized the english stage with his dramatic and poetic genius. He retired from the theatre to his native Stratford sometime between 1611 and 1613 having bought a large house called "new place".
He died on his 52nd bday April 23 of 1616 in Stratford. William was buried in the chancel of church of Holy Trinity.

Christmas

I love christmas, it's a beautiful time of the year because lights fill the streets and it's so nice, I love the decoration, and I spend time with my family. In these holidays everybody give presents, the children are very excited, and everyone is happy. I love the typical carols, and christmas movies. I would like to travel to a place where christmas is lived more intensely, because here not shown.
