http://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-35783692
This new  was posted today on March 13 published and talks about the current terrible war in Syria, it gives us some cases of affected children. The war in Syria has forced more than half of the population to flee their homes and has created a generation of children with physical and psychological scars. Many families are tryning to escaope from unimaginable horros. Despite the trauma some of those guys are quite strong and receive you with a big smile.
The first one Ibrahim, who is 12, lives in a rehabilitation center with others child wounded. He so nice and polite and he asks the reporter if she's brave enough to see his leg which lost because of a blitz. In that blitz also he lost his mother, two sister three brother, uncles, aunts... Ibrahim wants to come back to Syria as soon as posible and be a war reporter, he says "The outside world doesn't know the half of what's going on there".
The second is called Rouaa, who is 5. She says that if she could, she will come back to Syria tomorrow, to find her doll which hid at home before fleeing.
Jordan the thrid one lost his both legs, one eye and his hand in a landmine explosion. He just says that he wants to look forwards not backwards.
The last on is Mustafa, who also had to learn to walk again after a barrel bomb hit his family house on the outskirts of Aleppo. Both of his parents were killed and he spent a year in hospital.

PERSONAL OPINION:

This topic makes me sick, how many families have to go though such a dramatic situation. I seem contradictory that to establish peace, weapons are used. I think that other countries turn their back  to issues like this when they should help in some way and show the world what really happens.

VOCABULARY:
Landmine explosion, blitz
