After 44 Years In Prison, This Is What Happens When A Man Sees Today's Technology

How would you see the world if you have missed all the technology of the last years? imagine that the last time you used a phone was by putting money into a machine... Well that's what happened to Johnson when, after 44 years in prison for the attempted murder of a police officer.

44 year old
Something very shocking fro him was walked into New York's Time Square and saw that all the walls were giant moving screens.
One day a man took him to travel to see the world of today and asked him to reflect on what he saw around him. The first thing he noticed was that everybody talks through their headphones when in the 70s the only people who had that kind of technology were the FBI or the CIA

44 years prison
If you want to see that shocking video, watch it here! http://interactive.aljazeera.com/aje/shorts/life-after-prison/index.html

Terrorist attacks

The terrible massacre last Friday in Paris I think that it's difficult to digest for any human. Firstly,  the death for yihadistes represents the sacrifice for his country, for his God, which does not justify the killing of so many people.
On the streets of Paris dominates the silence, the fear and the worse of all is this concern of not knowing how far it can go.
Regarding citizens I think that the authorities should take measures for total protection and vigilance especially in places of worship, which have more risk. I consider that security is something essential and not being able to walk in the streets safe is terrofífic.
In short, it's difficult to find a solution to these facts so inhuman, and maybe we should keep out but staying in alert seen that hate and revenge the only thing that brings is more blood of innocents.

What about future?

What I would like to do after "Batxillerat" is a gap year but before University that for me is better, you're more young and it's like a break season after "Batxillerat". We had studied gap year at school last year and I find it very interesting because you learn a new language, you meet new people and you become more independent. Some friends of my sister did a gap year and they have explained us how cool it is, some of them didn't want to come back! I think it's a different experience that you will not regret, at the beginning I'm sure that I would be scared of travel alone to an unknown place but it's get used. If I had to decide where to go I wouldn't know yet, but Australia or USA could be a possible options.

Pollution

As we all know pollution is an issue of great concern which we have all heard; However, I think we are still not sufficiently aware of their impact.
Firstly, the contamination involves us and it's bad for all of us, and that¡s why without pollution we would have a healthier life. It is dangerous for the environment and for human beings, and this factor is growing more and more when it should be the opposite, because now, more than ever, we know in depth the issue and its consequences. But the ozone layer continues to grow, temperatures continue to rise and climate change continues to accelerate.
Regarding our future, if we want it to be more promising, we should begin seriously to respect the measures established or find new solutions.
So as responsible of this situation we should reduce pollution respecting more recycling, investigating new forms of production by industries and helping with daily small actions each of us. In short, it's in our hands to change this situation.

MY FRIENDS

I have the craziest funniest friends in the world and I feel fortunate to have the friends that I have. They are an enormous support for me, we are always there for each other in good or bad moments and it's very nice to know that they will be there for you. With them is always a good time because we laugh a lot together. We usually go out together every weekend and some afternoons also we do many originals activities during the year and more now that summer approaches. Some of us have travelled together, we have made camping too... We do many follies!!! I love my group of friends because we know perfectly each other from many years ago and we have utmost confidence. Obviously we have discussions like everybody but don't last more than two days...

Artificial Intelligence Firm Claims It Can 'Resurrect The First Human In 30 Years'

human brain

It could sounds incrdible but an artificial intelligence company has said it can resurrect human beings in 30 years and their objective is to  "reinvent the afterlife."
Their website states: "We’re using artificial intelligence and nanotechnology to store data of conversational styles, behavioural patterns, thought processes and information about how your body functions from the inside-out."
After death they will freeze the brain using cryonics technology. When the technology is fully developed they will implant the brain into an artificial body. All this could be possible by brain waves and as the brain ages we’ll use nanotechnology to repair and improve cells
All the readers can think that it's a hoax because it's difficult to believe somehing like that but they say that the first human resurrected could be in 30 years.

Últimas tardes con Teresa

Last thursday we went to the theatre of Roses to see Últimas tardes con Teresa written by Juan Marse, a play that we read last year in class. The play was interpreted by only two persons Manolo and Teresa. At the beginning I believed it would be boring because it's difficult to adapt the play with only two characters but it was the opposite. It was played really well, was very entertaining and was understood perfectly. It lastest 55 minutes and what impressed me the most was the ability that they had to learn such a long paper by heart. The characters acted professionally, so was a really cool and fun trek. At the end they let us to ask questions and it was interesting because we could know many things from the point of view of the characters. They explained us the difficulty of adapting a book to the theatre and that's why they had to shorten many parts.

A very emotional film: The impossible

The impossible is a dramatic film based in real facts, it goes about the experience of a family in Thailand vacationing. There something horrible happens, a tsunami, and the movie narrets their history and their survival.
The impossible is not my favourite movie but I wanted to talk about it because It's a very impactant and moving film and I find amazing the filming and the true history of that family.

Extra Large Movie Poster Image for The Impossible
An enormous wave swept it all, the mother, wouonded and the older brother meet and looking for help while the father send the other borthers to a refuge for stay him (in the hotel) and looking for his wife and his older son. The father doesn't found them but him doesn't give up, he dicided to search in all the hospitals nearest.
Afortunatelly all the family meet in one of the hospitals where the mother is gonna be operated and the older son has helped many persons to find their families. Finally the afortunated family traveling on the way home in shock but safe.
My favourite part it's when the three brothers and the father found, it makes you cry and I was so moved on this part, just thinking about the lucky that they had to survive it's moving. The part that I don't like it's when the mother is in a critical condition in the hospital, I couldn't see my mum in that condition. I think this movie makes you appreciate much more the family.
The way that it's rolled the film catches my attention, I had seen documentaries about how they make the tsunami for example, all the actors were tied to chairs underwater and I think that it's something brave and so much work behind the scenes.

CITE: The $1 billion city that nobody calls home

The future city called CITE (Center for Innovation, Testing and Evaluation) project is a full-scale model of an ordinary American town. However it will be used as a petri dish to develop new technologies that will shape the future of the urban environment. This place is dedicated to ambitious experiments in fields such as transport, construction, communication and security, also for developing new forms of agriculture, energy, and water treatment.
This project thinks in driverless vehicles that could be used, monitored from above by traffic drones, homes could be designed to survive natural disasters and it search alternatives energy sources.

The CITE project will see future technologies developed in a $1 billion empty city in the New Mexico desert.

The new location for this project has been chosen and it will be constructed close to the White Sands missile range, where the first atomic bombs were tested. Builders will be on site this year, and the city could be operational as early as 2018.
The director describes CITE as a lab but we have to be conscious about investment in research that will be necessary.

Women

I'm proud oh how roles of women have changed our society in the last 100 years. The story is based on that times when women were despised, when they couldn't do many things as men could do. They weren't important in that society, they were toys for men. Nowadays fortunatelly all those horrible roles have partially changed. Mostly women are respect and with the same conditions as men. Of course these conditions every time are becoming better but not everywhere unfortunately. I hope in a future that women are considered totally the same as men and I'm very happy that our society has changed the way of thinking about women, even so still there many things to improve.

IS HUMOUR NECESSARY?

What would we do without humour? How could people bind more easily? or be more spontaneous and happy? and how could we dissolue distresing emotions?
Well, humour is necessary for all of them and that's waht I'm going to talk about.
Laughter apart from being a fantastic sensation and increasing happiness is good for your health! It relaxes your body, decreases stress hormones and protects your heart.
Also the humour attracts others to us and makes something very important for me, which is strengthing relationships and creating a positive bond when you laugh with someone.
So smile and laugh if you want to be happy. It will make you more positive and will help you to see all the situations from an optimistic point of view.

DREAMS

When I was little I used to dream to be a dancer and a veterinary but as you get older things change. One of my dreams it's not a physical or material thing and neither is it a profession, among many things I would like to do, my dream is to travel. In a future I want to travel a lot, I would like to discover different countries, know new amazing places that I've never been, and learn from each. I don't like routine and maybe that's why I need to do different things, but obviously I know that I have to study too. But it's something that I am really looking forward to, I would love to visit awesome places, meet new people... but always accompanied if it's possible. I think that it's always more amusing and enjoyable and who knows, maybe someday I like so much a place that I decide to stay there! :)
Hey there! Here I let you my joke from last week :)

Chile 'magic cheese scam' woman goes on trial in France

In France a woman has gone on trial for operating a scam in which thousands of Chileans paid millions of euros to produce a supposedly "magic cheese" for the cosmetics industry. Gilberte van Erpe, 74, is accused of selling a near-worthless powder as a costly domestic cheese-making kit.
The buyers were told that the fermented product they made in their homes could be sold to the French cosmetics industry at a much higher price. The victims were initially paid the dividends they had been promised, and the early success prompted them to invest larger amounts.
Many encouraged their friends and family to sign up. However, the div
idend payments soon stopped.

Unexpected stressors that are wrecking your health

As the new says, some typical causes of stress in life are —  illnesses and injuries, money issues, a too-busy schedule...And the 10 of the sneakiest (and most common) stressors are late betimes, lying, caffeine, alcohol, exercice, opening your inbox, noise, commuting, processed foods and dieting. I'm going to explain you five of them.

1. LATE BEDTIMES. Crawling into bed after midnight cause stress and a clear example are the later students, they suffer from negative thoughts, ruminative worries... researchers still aren’t certain whether later bedtimes are the primary cause of these negative emotions or whether they simply reflect an  unhappy personality.

2. LYING. From little lies to massive deceptions, lying can interfere with our mental and physical health and may even contribute to gastric distress.Victoria Lorient-Faibish says that “Many people with a history of lying struggle with fantasies of confession,”.

3. CAFFEINE.  Caffeine chronically elevates anxiety, adrenaline, cortisol, and blood pressure, making us more sensitive to everyday stressors and ultimately interfering with sleep.
4.ALCOHOL. like caffeine, exacerbate sensitivity to stress.

5.EXERCICE. Sometimes we push ourselves past the brink of what our bodies can handle, that causes the stress hormones and can mess with our moods.

A GREAT TRIP

Last month I went to Switzerland with my friend Gemma. Her father ans her brother are living there in a village called Verbier, when she told me the idea of travel to Switzerland I thought that she was joking but she wasn't. We took a plane from Barcelona and when we arrived everything was full of snow, was beautiful. We were housed in the house of her brother who's sharing house with five more people. The next two days we went to ski, the ski slopes were awesome with amazing landscapes and restaurants at the top of the mountains. The ski slopes were at three steps from the house, that was so cool. Also the food was delicious, on saturday night we went out in some pubs, was very funny. But the problem of Switzerland is the price, everything is so expensive... Nevertheless it was a great experience, I would like to repeat some other year!

THE OTHERS

I'll talk about this horror film, I saw it about two weeks ago with my friend Cèlia and it was quite good. The plot of the film is about a women who lives in a strange  and very big house with her little son and her little daughter. Her chidren are allergic to the sun so they can't go out and the light of the sun can't toucht them. So the mother (Nicole Kidmann) don't let the light go in. One day the mother hires three servants to take care of the house. A couple of days later some strange things happen in the house and the kids say that it is the little boy they can see. Then the mother gets a bit crazy and she discovers the graves of the servants in the garden, and finally the family discovers that they and the servants are already dead and that the little boy who the children see is the one who is alive, and the one who now is living in the house. Finally they are murdered by their mother because she is crazy.

The balloons that could fly tourists to the edge of space

edition.cnn.com/2015/03/05/tech/balloons-fly-edge-of-space/index.html
I have chosen this new because it seems interesting and unthinkable.
The new invention called Ballooning is already tried and tested technology, a spanish company plans to launch passengers to space using helium-filled balloons known as "Bloons" for €115,000 approximately.
Balloons only travel to a height of between 30-40km, it's a totally different experience.
You don't experience weightlessness, you are able to see the "Thin Blue Line" of the Earth's atmosphere. Passengers would also be able to see the Earth in the blackness of space, as well as the sun rise over the curvature of the planet.
Balloons can in theory launch from anywhere in the world, as long as the weather is favorable. Unlike rockets, there is no big acceleration, it takes 1.5-2 hours to reach maximum altitude. Once there, inside will have toilets and you'll be able to dine on board.
To return to Earth, helium is vented from the balloon, then a ParaWing, takes over the remainder of the descent.

DESCRIPTION OF A PICTURE

Hi everyone! Today I want to describe this picture from my village, and I'll talk about the beach you can see on it. I really like this photo because the colours are amazing. Two years ago there was a huge fire in Alt Empordà, it was an horrible thing and as you can see at the top, all the sky was black and purple because of the smoke. But on the picture it looks great and very surreal. There's a very big contrast in the purple sky and the white sand. In the middle of the picture we can see a part of the canal, on the right side you can see some buildings of Empuriabrava, and also a big palm that moves because of the wind. Also the sand is flying because of the storm, and that gives the photo another special touch. Actually it was very scary to see this smoke over all Alt Empordà, because normally these beach on the picture is always a happy and positive scenery, and it was strange to see it so black and negative. These beach is situated on the coast of Empuriabrava and it's very big with very white sand. In summer it's full with tourists and in winter it's very beautiful to take a walk.

GREY'S ANATOMY

I'm gonna explain a little bit about this series, I'm not hooked but I like it, it's original and very interesting. Grey's Anatomy' follows the lives of residents in the fictional Seattle Grace Mercy West Hospital. Each season tends to represent the year of academic physicians. The series sets aside the concerns of medical ethics to focus on character development and relationships. Although doctors treat their patients' diseases, often through complex surgeries, his main motivation is usually competition.
Residents initially lleguan the hospital every morning and play each other over who will care for a particular patient.

PARTIES

As everybody knows, we are in a age that we like to go out with friends and spent great times. In my opinion I think it's good to go to parties but no abuse it, I like very much go out and dance with my friends, almost every weekend I am in to a party. Normally we go to Onoff or some pubs of Roses and Empuriabrava...  also we go to Figueres or Cadaqués at summer. Sometimes we make our parties in friend's house. It's good to do it but we can't forget the studies and the school. :)
